Saul Alinsky, Barack Obama, and Corey Booker Part 3

I  was hoping to be a little more excited when I wrote this last part. Then the Supreme Court made a legal stretch that would be laughable if it wasn’t true! So on the day when freedom officially died in America let’s move on to some real hope! In one of my earlier writings I said that I didn’t think what I believe to be a spiritual revival coming would reach the power brokers in Washington now I am just about convinced that it won’t.  This opening statement doesn’t have much to do with the substance of what I am attempting to communicate however I would be remiss not to mention something about a very important day politically and spiritually for America. So with all of this as a backdrop and the previous two writings setting the table let me show you what I believe to be a genuine work of the Lord that is brewing, but you’re going to have to be in it to notice it!

I think that it is a self evident truth that as individuals we only change when faced with the truth that we are totally depraved. Sometimes that reveals itself by being arrested, divorce, financial ruin, drug addiction, failed career, depression and many other symptoms of sin. I think most of us focus on the symptoms of sin rather then sin itself. That is the paramount reason for the variety of support groups we have for whatever symptom of sin the person has that is the worst and causing the most damage. I can admit that is how I dealt with things in the beginning when there was acknowledgement on my part of something wrong. However, focusing on the symptom just made sin rise up in other areas of my life and the fight seemed to never end. Until I realized that these things I was doing was the evidence of who I was at my core. It meant that I was deceived about myself sinning was not what I had done it was the core of who I was! The anomaly was not the sinful symptoms but rather the anomalies in my life were anything that was not sinful. The wreck that I had made my life was only half way to beginning a journey to the kingdom of God. I needed to accept why this had happened to begin with. The answer was that I had allowed myself to be deceived in every area of my life, not because I was a victim but rather it was easier to accept whatever anyone was telling me rather then thoroughly read the Word of God, which frankly I couldn’t make heads or tails of years ago.

I think this process happens to individuals and communities at large. I believe we are nearing a tipping point in people’s lives to where groups of people are going to come to the same individual revelations that the Lord allowed me and many others to already have. I am not sure it will effect to a large degree a  political shift towards conservative values, ending gay marriage, overturning Roe V. Wade, etc. This will not be a move that will have massive ramifications for the power establishment in this kingdom. However God’s kingdom is going to be advanced. I believe the realization that I had about being self deceived will happen in the lives of people in the black community. The responsibility of the church is to bolding juxtapose the Bible to what these progressives have taught their followers all these years. Most notably that these people that have pretended to be so benevolent and loving are wolves in sheep’s clothing, both in the pulpit and Washington. I think the realization by some that they have been deceived could bring the brokenness necessary for true redemption. Therefore this could cause tumult in people’s lives as the Lord’s truth invades the lives of communities, but out of that genuine revival will occur.

I think this will begin and to some degree already has in the black community. The reasoning is simple. The black communities church has been invaded by these people for the longest period of time, therefore the stench of what these progressives do to families, neighborhoods, local economies is more profoundly evident here then anywhere else. However, the rest of the country is quickly following suit.

The evidence of this change on the ground from my perspective is not rooted in what I see in the news but rather what I have seen from individual people. I have had some really meaningful exchanges with blacks and other long time democrats and have been encouraged to see that some are receptive to new ideas or more accurately old ideas that are new to one who finally receives them. I have observed fair minded people that have traditional identified themselves as democrats or liberals with pride begin to question what is going on politically. Christian’s like myself that pay attention politically and speak about the people and ideas that are behind liberals have to understand that the people you are witnessing to do not spend any time thinking about Saul ALinsky, Marxism and what the Bible has to say about them. I am convinced that outside of card carrying progressives there are blacks especially that really have believed  in the outward face of the democratic party. They believed  that the democrats who  showed up in their communities and at times co-oped their churches really where crusading to make the world better for everyone.  Now they are starting so see people like Jackson and Sharpton show their true colors and completely discard any resemblance of Christianity. The black community has always been deeply spiritual as anyone can clearly see. However it has been zeal without knowledge because the Bible was replaced by these demagogues and their pastors in the black church. The ramifications have been broken families and dead churches, a pattern that has successfully invaded many more churches as well.  

The good news is if we as Christians can accurately and powerful make the case for the Bible the people that really had good intentions will receive with gladness the truth of the Lord Jesus Christ and will advance the gospel. I think we are seeing seeds of it already. There is a resurgence of sound doctrine in what would normally be liberal non Bible based churches.  However I don’t think what we have seen is near what a real move of God will be. The reason that I don’t think that we will notice it because I don’t see it being accompanied by the mega ministries that we are used to seeing.

It will however be political. Christians who think that politics don’t matter are dead wrong. Progressives have completely taken over churches in the black community. With false teachers abounding,the rest of the church is quickly following suit. Therefore the evidence of a change will be a stark turning away in the black community from Progressive ideas politically. Because those ideas ARE the church in the black community (not totally, but pretty close). When this happens individuals and communities whose heart has been stirred by the Holy Spirit will take notice and come to faith in Jesus Christ. Then why will this not affect anything in Washington you ask? Progressives already have the power they need so they don’t need the people anymore. Therefore it will not matter to the elite if some unimportant people in their mind come to faith in Jesus Christ and run off the democratic plantation.

The bottom line is that there is good news coming for those in Christ Jesus and not just evidence that we will be home soon. I think the church will finally exist as it was intended and genuine fellowship will ensue. However you will probably have to forsake everything and that means rejecting the mega church superstars that are a stumbling block for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. There is so much evidence of Christ moving in the hearts and minds of people that I can scarcely follow it. So I am content to write about the small sliver that I have observed in one community. I would encourage believers everywhere to seek out the move that is nearest to your heart.

Saul Alinsky, Barack Obama, and Corey Booker Part 2

The best way to know a son is to study his father. Spiritually we should look like our heavenly father as Christians to reflect His glory. With that premise we can analyze the president as well as other card carrying progressives by focusing on their beloved leader and what he believed and how he acted. Here are a list of his rules and we are going to pick out some scriptures to juxtapose against these rules. In the end we should start to have a picture of progressives most notably Barack Obama.

“Lest we forget at least an over –the- shoulder acknowledgement to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history…the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom- Lucifer.” Saul Alinsky

“Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have.” Saul Alinsky

Genesis 3:1 “Now the serpent was more cunning then any beast of the field which the Lord God had made and he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, “You shall not eat of every tree of the garden?”

The statement by Alinsky reveals the roots of his revolution being deception  and not power. This is exactly a tactic of our adversary the devil. Notice that the serpent was only more cunning then the other beasts of the field. The enemy did not have even any power over man at that point.  Genesis 3:1 tells us that in the beginning all the enemy had was lies and deception and the power and kingdom that Alinsky talks about that Satan “won” he actually stole which is also at the root of this progressive movement stealing something that they cannot win but must have because they hate God’ s ordering of things.

“Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules. You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.” Saul Alinsky

“Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength and the kingdom of our God and he power of His Christ have come for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night , has been cast down.” Revelation 12:10

First of all Glory be to God for this verse! I also want to focus on what satan did all day and night. He accused the brethren, essentially he told God what Alinsky is saying to do to us as Christians. The tactic is to keep us on the defensive by getting our mind off of God’s grace and focused on legalism therefore neutralizing our power. This again speaks to my first point that Alinsky and our adversary the devil must steal power and misdirect the real power of the Christian to neutralize what God can do. This movement has no power in and off itself to create anything much like their father the devil they can only accuse, ridicule and lie!

John 10:27,”My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me”

I brought this up to bring up the difference in character between these people and followers of the one true God. The two statements here are about people from a perspective of a scientist studying people at best. At worst it is the observation of their weaknesses and desires to exploit them for their own gain. Is this not what Satan did in the beginning? The cunning serpent exploited Adam’s aloofness towards his responsibilities and Eve’s lack of remembrance of God’s only statute at the time. Remember God had told them not to eat of the tree, and Eve’s response was to the serpent was that they were not to eat or even touch it. Where did the touch part come in? God never told them that. The serpent had found his opening to exploit them and steal power on this earth from man and he did.

My point is that much like their father the devil these progressives do “have people” that they neither know about or care about. They only “have” these people because of what their father the devil stole in the garden of eden or more accurately what man naively surrendered at the garden because of their sin. What was surrendered was temporary management of this planet a slumlord of sorts. It is also important to note that the power that satan temporarily holds was never won in any way it was connived and even with all of his tricks if man was obedience to God’s command in the garden their would have been nothing he could do about being cast down and made to serve man in the beginning. Understanding this helps you understand why Progressives constantly lie, deceive, accuse and agitate. Because they have no real power and the only illusion of power they do have comes from exploiting weakness.

Lastly, I want to point out the differences in the wording between how Alinsky talks about people and how God talks about people. Alinsky says they “have” people and in John chapter 10 the Lord refers to his people as “My Sheep”. The difference is subtle but important to understand. For instance you probably have a broom and dustpan in your house somewhere. Let’s say your wife asked you to get the broom and dust pan. Would she ask you to get “the” broom and dust pan, or “my” broom and dust pan? She probably would ask you to get “the” broom and dust pan, and depending on her mood may call it something else as well! What is the difference you ask? Let me ask a couple of other questions. Is the broom and dust pan something you need? Yes. Is it something that you think about even while you are using it? Probably not. In regards to your children when the mother wants her husband to pick up the children she would probably ask him to pick up “her” or “our” children. It is obvious that the personal nature of my and ours connotates a meaning of importance that is given to the children. That’s why we name our children watch our children to make sure they are growing properly because they are ours and we know their names. My point is if you look closely at what these people say they will tell on themselves and this is an illustration of that point. People are tools of no more importance then a drill or a saw that is necessary for their goals. Just like a drill or a saw’s value is predicated on it’s ability to work for you so are the people on the progressive plantation. Moreover they are traded in for newer models constantly, with even less loyalty then you have to your drill or saw.

Alinsky and his progressive followers are telling us who they are when you put the scripture up against them. One more point on this subject. The enemy and Christ both understand one thing about people. The enemy and the Lord Jesus Christ both understand human weakness. That’s why Alinsky warned not to stay on one subject too long, he understood that men are weak lacking in diligence and easily distracted much like a sheep. Our Lord understands that too but rather then exploit our weakness our savior saves us, gives us a new name, remakes us in His image and watches with great intent and compassion every step of His children’s journey home to Glory. Alinsky’s disciples see people as the only tool to get power that they cannot win and should not have and in the end they destroy the lives of the people they pretend to care about.

Job 1:9-11: So satan answered the Lord and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing?” “Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.” “But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse Your to Your face!”

This verse says a lot of things but the spirit showed me something about this passage I had not thought of until I began this writing project. Satan is essentially complaining about the fact that God is more powerful then he is and therefore he cannot have the authority over people’s lives. This story was not just about a man named Job it was also an illustration of who God is (more about that in Job 38) and who the enemy is. Satan first of all complained that God protecting Job was unfair. Remember Job was wealthy well respected and protected on all sides by the sovereign Lord. In the spiritual realm this scenario is true for all believers but for some like Job it was manifested in physical wealth as well. Wealth being proof of spiritual wisdom and obedience was common in Old Testament times, and despite the abuse of that truth by the Pharisees and others who loved money and not God, there was evidence that the Lord did that through men like David, Job, Solomon, Abraham and his immediate children and grandchildren. This can still happen today, however when we accurately see the Old Testament of a picture of things to come first of all Jesus and secondly the fulfillment of the kingdom in His Glory at the second coming, we can see that the wealth was a picture of the Lord’s wealth and His coming kingdom not a get rich quick scheme.

That side bar was free, but the point is that God has everything and gives liberally to whom He desires and satan doesn’t like it. He doesn’t like it not just because he wants power. The reason he wants power is because he hates the Lord’s ways, His laws, His grace, His love and on and on and on!

When progressives talk about the haves and the have nots, the 1%, homosexuals, minority groups, the homeless, and any group that can be exploited they are not desiring justice for these groups they are just using the same tactics of deception like their father the devil. Not just hating the ordering of society they hate the one who ordered these things. The argument is that all the groups they pretend to represent are destitude because of a group of people in power that are not righteous and don’t deserve their position in society. They convince their followers that the system is unfair and the deck is stacked against them by an elite few who are evil. The deception is that their rules tell us that they do not love the people they represent, they actually love and admire the ones they pretend to hate because the power that these people have is their real motivation. This does not mean that all people in power who are rich on this earth are righteous or even honest in some cases, however the Bible tells us that the Lord is in charge of who is in charge. Therefore we must go back to their rules and what they stand for to continue to be discerning about who these people are. We cannot get baited into their arguments about the people progressives are using.

We just need to remember that everything these people fight against is righteous and everything they love is not righteous outwardly. Moreover, take notice they are taking things a step further by redefining what and who is considered righteous and noble in our society  by making up new rules for what righteousness is. In a nutshell this last paragraph is the explanation why these people focus on changing the narrative or dialogue and diversity. What they really mean is they desire to change the rules and place people who believe what they believe where they want them. They seek to play God! Isn’t that what Satan does! Does he not manage this world that sin has destroyed until the rightful King Jesus Christ comes to take His children home and clean this mess up!

I said all of that to ask a question. Are these the beliefs and tactics that represent people like Barack Obama or people like Corey Booker? My answer to that question is that these rules, tactics and beliefs (or actually lack of beliefs,) paint a picture of people like Barack Obama not Corey Booker. Even if people like Mr. Booker really are questioning the methodologies of the President I don’t think it is enough to derail the progressive train that has owned the democratic party. The Lord can save anyone, however we must be honest and evaluate who these people really are and unfortunately we have to see that they are in power now and that probably means the end of our system of government. However there could be a significant spiritual movement of the Lord that is brewing in the test case for progressives, the black community and it may begin with people like Corey Booker raising logical objections about what they see. Again to reiterate I am not saying that Corey Booker would or would not agree with my opinions and evaluations, however I do think his comments represent a ground swell in the black community that may have huge spiritual ripples. I think we are on the verge of a spiritual awakening that frankly could possibly be unnoticed by the political elite. After all they are in power now so they don’t need the black community to use and exploit anymore so naturally they could care less of some wander off the democratic plantation to the Lord Jesus Christ.

All of this evil brought by progressives could be reversed by our Lord and Savior into a great harvest, but this harvest movement will go unnoticed by most folks in Washington, but it could be an exciting time for the believer. Thanks for bearing with me and muddling through these last two entries. The third will be the good news of what I believe is to come!

Saul Alinsky, Barack Obama, and Corey Booker Part 1

For those who don’t know who the other two men that are mentioned let me give a brief description, and a casual glance at all three of these men is all that is necessary. The connection between the three and what they tell us about democrats and what is going on in the world today is more important then these men. Some are still trying to get a handle on who the president is, and talking about the other two men will give us a picture of who he really is and who some democrats thought he was. Lastly, I will break this up into 3 sections and compare and contrast what the Bible says and what Saul Alinsky says and in the end celebrate what I think the good news is for a harvest of souls for the kingdom of Christ.

First of all Saul Alinsky was the first community organizer who based his operations in Chicago and largely targeted the black community to begin a ground swell of revolution in the 1960’s for a socialistic government. He was a confessed communist in the neo Marxist sense and believed in a slow calculated revolution. He believed in camouflaging yourself inside government institutions, communities, and most notably churches. He wrote his last book called “Rules for Radicals” that was published in 1971 around the time he died.  Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and Chris Matthews are at least 3 prominent democrats who have publicly declared this man’s influence on what they believe. In a nutshell he believed that if you constantly agitate the people towards being discontent and convince them that their discontent comes from an unfair system of government you can cause change in that system of government and eventually eradicate Christian dogma and communism can flourish. He believed that you should never take a stand on any issue and at the same time constantly make the Christian imparticular live up to their own belief system and when we can’t he says that we should be called out on it. He also is where we get the democratic manta of never let a tragedy go to waste, meaning never forget to use calamity for political gain. Simply put he was the embodiment of a wolf in sheep’s clothing politically speaking! 

 I could go on further and I will in the second part, but I will stop there because it is more important to understand two things before we move on to Corey Booker. Number one that people who call themselves progressives believe in the tactics and ideals that have been eluded to above and will be described in detail later, and they use these tactics religously. Number two, all of the communities that this has been started in have been black, therefore it easy to conclude that the black community was the target group for this camouflaged neo marxist revolution. I will leave the question of why for you to ponder on your own time. I have my opinions on that subject and I think they are important, but not for the purposes of this discussion.

Although the president clearly remains an enigma for some I think we can know him by understanding who influenced him, but who is Corey Booker and why am I bringing him up? Corey Booker is a two term Democratic mayor of Newark New Jersey which is an extremely rough city with a lot of problems. He made some waves recently by Speaking about Mitt Romney, Bain capital and private equity. Mr. Booker did not stay on talking points and he was critical of Obama’s attacks upon Bain capital and private equity as a whole. This doesn’t mean that he is conservative or even that he will not support Obama. He did state that he still supports Obama. This speaks to a larger issue and I think his comments are a picture of a greater disturbance that we have politically. Speaking about issues outside of the framework of the talking points that are handed down to the media is not done in Washington by both parties, as a matter of fact talk radio is the only avenue of the media where true uninhibited discussion ensues. This was somewhat courageous by Mr. Booker and I am not sure he had anything to gain politically unless he plans on switching parties. Then again they stay on “talking points” when they speak to the media as well so going off either parties reservation will not help you inside the beltway. We have already seen the tea party make a change in our political landscape and Corey Booker’s comments may be representative of what some have to be thinking on the democratic side. So the real question is why did he make these comments and am I correct that this is a sign of something brewing in the hearts of minds of some liberals most notably the black community. Much like this essay is not about Barack Obama it is also not about Corey Booker it is about what I believe they represent. Most notably a divide between Alinsky progressives and fair minded democrats that must be scratching their heads in disbelief at this point.   

 As I alluded to earlier what is important here is to question why did he say what he said on national television. He is seen as a rising star in the democratic party and by some reports may have been lobbying for a cabinet position or possibly a run at the United States Senate. With that in mind why would you say something that you know would anger some of the people that you could be rubbing shoulders with? My thought is that either there are power brokers in Washington on the democratic side that want this man out (referring to the President,) maybe just because they don’t like Obama. It also could be that some don’t think he is an effective catalyst for the progressive end game. It also could be that there are powerful people in the democratic party that are not progressive and are starting to see how ugly this party has become. Could it also be that Corey Booker just decided to speak the truth because he wanted to say how he saw things. Anyway you slice it there is some change brewing in the democratic party and I think it is worth paying attention to.

Moreover regardless of Corey Booker’s motives for what he said  he represents what some that are not card carrying progressives may really believe and hopefully these comments could inspire others to get off the democratic plantation, Mr. Booker included. More importantly he could represent a possible change in the black community towards the president and this is of the utmost importance for a variety of reasons.

The first and most ironic is that we are seeing some changes in ideas about poltics as well as theology that are not alinsky like, despite the fact that the black community has clearly been the most directly affected by  alinsky’s  ideas and community organization. We can see a divide between the alinsky proselytes such as Jesse Jackson, Barack Obama and Al Sharpton and what the general black community as well as the other blue dog democrats think and believe. I have also been encouraged to see people and pastors that have been seen as  liberal in their theology  (in some circles,) speak about the importance of sound  theology and question democratic belief  structures (I am not going to name drop in regards to big name pastors here, because this is not about that.)

I do not think that this will create a turn around politically for the United States. I actually think this is the beginning of a move of God spiritually, and I am not sure if the political elite will even recognize it. I hope I am wrong about that. However I am excited about the opportunities that are going to be available to the believer in regards to how to witness to these souls that could be ripe for harvest. There will be more Corey Booker’s black and white who will start to wonder about their party, their churches and their communities. They are going to have to ask if what I am about to write in the second half of this essay is true, and if it is what does it mean? People are starting to have questions and their will be more in the coming years and we as Christians must have the answers. We must be able to explain Saul Alinsky, Barack Obama and Corey Booker. We must be able to use the Bible for  what it is, a spiritual weapon that rightly divides truth and is sharper then any two edge sword and therefore capable to speak powerfully about what these people believed and most notably who was behind why they believed it!

There is so many trails that I could go down with this subject and those who know my personality and/or writing style can discern that my desire is to try to dive into it all. I am however going to focus on Saul Alinsky’s beliefs and tactics and place them next to scripture to share with you the sharp contrast. I have not and will not talk about the President because who he is will be directly described in the words to come. It is my contention that the analysis that follows will be a vivid picture of who he is and who progressives are. In the end there will be good news and I really believe spiritually there is good news to come, however not without persecution of some sorts, they seem to coincide unfortunately. There will be a revival spiritually, but I am not sure whether it will directly affect the powers at Washington, but it could radically reenergize the Body of Christ!
